How to use Craft Punches

Top tips for using Craft Punches:

  • Punches provide a quick and easy solution for making stationery if you are on a short timescale.

  • Don't forget to use your punches to make confetti, to put in your envelopes or postal boxes.

  • Don't forget to use your punches to make table confetti, a cheap and easy way to decorate your table.

  • Punches are an excellent way to make all those thank you cards. Try simplifying your invitation again to save time.

  • Punches work on card stock, paper and foil sheets.

How to use Floral Cards

Top tips for Floral Cards:

  • Always secure flowers with a hot glue gun to the back of the flower head to ensure they stay in place.

  • Apply glue generously and place immediately as the glue dries instantly.

  • If you find hairs of glue on your design just rub them off gently once completely dry.

  • If you are wiring flowers together, cut your lengths of wire first and wind from the bottom of the stems to the top leaving ends for curling if necessary.

Embellishments - Painted Topper Cards

Top tips for Toppers

  • Paint the design generously - you are looking for a 3-D textured finish.

  • Don't paint too accurately, hand painted means just that, by hand they do not have to be perfect.

  • Place glitter drops on after paint and leave to dry overnight. If you make a mistake just wipe off immediately, it will not leave a mark.

  • Always use a good glue stick when attaching paper and boards.

  • Always use tweezers when using peel-off stickers, they can be re-positioned until you are happy with the placement. Run your finger over to secure firmly.

  • Tie in your printed inserts with ribbon or cord. Experiment with where you place the knot or bow.

Embellishments - Embellishment Cards

Top tips for Embellishments

  • Use co-ordinating papers and boards when matching your embellishments.

  • Keep your designs simple and use the laying technique to gain the maximum handmade feel.

  • Embellishments are quick and easy to make and look out for multiple pack offers in our catalogue.

How to make favour boxes:
You will need:

Ivory handbag favour box
Pink Stardream paper
Ivory Stardream paper
Large Daisy Punch
Small Daisy Punch
Silver glitter glue
Double-sided foam pads

  • Assemble your favour box by creasing all the folds first then make up box shape

  • Fill your favour box with desired sweets or chocolates

  • Place the stardream paper in the punch and press down. Cut as many daisy shapes as you require in both sizes. (we have just shown one on each box)

  • Using double-sided foam pads place the large daisy on the box and place the small daisy on top.

  • Use the silver glitter glue to make a ‘centre’ of the daisy. Allow to dry overnight

Handy Tips From the Craft Depot:-

Use the same method to make your place cards leaving a space to write your guest’s name.

Work in batches of 10, making sure you leave the glue to dry overnight

You can also use a paper glue and stick directly onto the box.

Why not punch out lots of your shapes and make your own unique table confetti. Stardream paper comes in lots of co-ordinating colours and is coloured on both sides.
